Board Approves $1.2 Million In New Spending
Board Approves $1.2 Million In New Spending

On 12-16-2009, on a resolution made public a few hours before unanimous approval, the Evans Town Board votes 5 to 0 to spend $1,194,081.46 on what is described in the resolution as roadway access and waterline improvements.

In what’s becoming an alarming trend, not one detail of how this money will be spent was disclosed to the public.

Not one board member asked for details on this spending plan. There was a vague reference of “notes” taken by former councilman Gifford Swyers. These “notes” should be disclosed to Evans Taxpayers.

Fran Pordum claims he runs an open government. This vote is another example that the opposite is true.

Another BIG Question: Will Fran Pordum disclose what Evans Taxpayers are getting for the $1,194,081.46?
