In the 11-22-2009 Supervisor’s column, Fran Pordum goes into detail about renovations at Nettlecreek Park. The word “Park” is used four times in the column.
Nettlecreek Park is the name or designation of one end of a larger park on the town’s zoning map. It’s located in the buffer zone around Reisch Creek (mostly underground now)
This same “PARK” also includes the site of the Derby Veteran’s Park. The Town of Evans is actively trying to sell the “park” to “big oil”
800 signatures were obtained to force a public vote on the sale of the adjoining paper street North “Park”
Now Fran Pordum wants to move the park to a different location.
Gold Star Mothers – Veterans – Evans Residents have been pleading their case, spending their hard earned money, to pay for Penny Saver ad asking Town official to do the right thing and abandon plans to move the Derby Veteran’s Park to a different location.
Call Supervisor Fran Pordum and ask him why he wants to move the Derby Veteran’s Park (716) 549-5787
